Dear Editor:
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the Republican Party of Marinette County (RPMC). In a (current/recent) campaign, the RPMC treated my daughter, Jessica Olson, a Republican candidate for the Marinette County Clerk of Court position, with disrespect and obvious public smearing.
My daughter, at the advice of a co-worker, tried to join the RPMC in early June. Not only was her application denied, but they "threw her under the bus" trying to make her look bad. I'm sure that this is ... MORE | SUBSCRIBE

Dear Editor:
It is way past time to say "Thank You" to all who assisted in the difficult planning and staging of the 10th Annual Logging and Heritage Festival. A few weeks ago, Mom and I were out and about in the twin cities and stopped into a local family-style restaurant for lunch, arriving around 11 a.m.
We got a meet and greet quickly, and while we were waiting for our waitperson, I looked around. There was one large group and a few smaller ones seated on our arrival, and I saw a waitress flying around the large dining room. She looked a bit harassed. I waitressed a long time ago, I know that look ?? maybe an order got mixed up and she took the brunt of it; maybe the cook is in a foul mood... MORE | SUBSCRIBE

SUMMER FUN
Summer is rapidly spinning to an end, but it promises to be a wonderful end indeed!
Temperatures in TIMESLand have moderated, at least for now, and forecasters are promising some of the finest August weather northeast Wisconsin has to offer for the next 10 days or so, with mostly sunny skies, warm days, and comfortable nights and evenings. Unfortunately, the only rain predicted is in the form a 58 percent chance of showers on Saturday, Aug. 13, when there is a full slate of outdoor community events being offer... MORE | SUBSCRIBE
