School Board Elects At Large

WausaukeeAt the annual meeting of the School District of Wausaukee, voters approved changing positions from apportioned to at large positions. This means that the three seats up for the board in the April 2009 election may have candidates running from any of the School District of Wausaukee municipalities. Current representatives for the three seats are Farrel G. Maule, Town of Silver Cliff; Elmer S. Busick, Village of Wausaukee; and Dennis (Griz) Taylor, District At Large.
Residents interested in running for the Board of Education must file a Campaign Registration Statement and Declaration of Candidacy no later than 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the Office of the School District Clerk. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. The term is for three years and begins in April.
