Harold A. Braun
Harold A. Braun, 77, of Gillett died on Sunday evening, Feb. 15.
Born Jan. 19, 1932 in Underhill to the late Walter and Nora (Dumke) Braun, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
On Nov. 24, 1984 he married the former Eleanor E. Krajewski-Czech at Bethel Baptist Church, Green Bay and was employed by WTCH-WOWN Radio, Shawano for many years. He was a member of the Shawano United Methodist Church, where he served as a lay speaker. A self taught and accomplished mandolin player, he played at different churches, nursing homes and for various events.
His wife, Eleanor of Gillett survives, with their children, Mrs. Randall (Juanita Braun) Brand of Seattle, Wash., Robin (Jame) Braun of Shawano, Mrs. Will (Crystal) Davis of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. Chuck (Heather) Timmerman of Green Bay. He is further survived by eight grandchildren; six stepchildren, Mrs. Tim (Laura) Anderson of Madison, Marcia Czech and Mrs. Richard (Cynthia) Hultren, both of Missouri, Mrs. Paul (Mary Beth) Norby of Minnesota, John E. (Kelly) Czech of Kirkland, Wash. and Jeffrey (Susan) Czech of California; 15 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; six siblings, Virginia Patzer, Mrs. Leon (Lul) Drath, Mrs. Jim (Murial) Wilke, Llewellyn Buddy Braun, all of Gillett and Charmaine Stewart and Mrs. Joe (Charitee) McKenna, both of Milwaukee and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
His parents, a brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Shawano United Methodist Church, 1000 Engel Dr. Visitation continues on Friday, Feb. 20 at the church from 10 a.m. until the celebration of life at 11 a.m. Pastor Domnik D. Israel will officiate and interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Hintz. Graveside military rites will be conducted by members of the Gillett VFW and American Legion. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett is assisting the family with arrangements.
