Carter Reese Parker
Carter Reese Parker, 82, passed away on Friday morning, Oct. 9 at Dickinson County Hospital.
Born Sept. 18, 1927 in Laurel, Iowa, to the late William Guy Parker and the former Lura McBroom, he moved to Silver Cliff in 1935, where he remained an active resident until his death.
He served during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #66. He worked for the Town of Silver Cliff and held town office, along with being a volunteer for the Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
Visitation was held at Messar Funeral Home, Wausaukee on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Monday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Dennis Schmidt officiated and burial was in Forest Home Cemetery in Athelstane.
