
Darcella Rose Anderla Darcella Rose Anderla, 87, of Carney, Mi. passed away Thursday, Oct. 29 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mi.
The former Darcella Mayer was born on June 28, 1922 in Menominee, Mi. to the late Nickolas and Rose (Brix) Mayer. She graduated from Menominee High School, Class of 1940.
On May 25, 1946 she married Leo Anderla in Menominee and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1990. She enjoyed bowling, ice skating, walking, bicycling, skiing, playing cards and rolling dice. Above all she loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, where she was active in St. Anne's Sodality and was also a member of the West Bagley Homemakers.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bob (Kathy) Horning of Black Creek, Mrs. Roger (Sue) Papesh of Shiocton and Janet (Dennis Gramm) Anderla of Autrain; two sons, Pete (Karen) of Hermansville, Mi. and Greg (Mary) of Wisconsin Dells; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Family and friends gathered at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. until time of prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday, Nov. 2 at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Nadeau, Mi. from 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Fr. Emmett Norden officiated and burial followed in Nadeau Township Cemetery.
