Lucas Savord
Lucas Lawrence Savord, 75, of Hermansville passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born on Nov. 24, 1933 in Faithorn to Mr. and Mrs. William J. (Marcella Gibour) Savord, he retired from American Can Co. of Chicago, where he worked for 36 years.
Survivors include a brother, Wilfred J. (Helen) Savord of Hermansville; two sisters, Rose Ann Nelson of Norway and Mrs. Alan (Edna) Pickle of Stephenson; companion, Mary Beth Savord of Hermansville; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Deanna Lynn Savord and a son, Lawrence E. Savord; a brother, Rev. William R. Savord of Banning, Calif.; two sisters, Anna Mae (George) Zuhn of Faithorn and Mary Jane “Jeanette” (John) Skuja of Wausaukee and a brother-in-law, Robert E. Nelson of Hermansville.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place and he was laid to rest with a graveside service at Faithorn River Cemetery on Friday, Oct. 30 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Michael Vichich officiating. Crawford Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
