Paul James Kapitz Paul “Pauly” James Kapitz, 25, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Born in Milwaukee on Feb. 22, 1984, he was the son of Kenneth and Carolyn (Abrams) Kapitz. He was a 2002 graduate of Universal Technical Institute in Glendale Heights, Ill.
He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He worked at Wal-Mart and Kaat’s Auto while living in Sheboygan and moved to Arizona to go to school at Universal Technical Institute of Phoenix in the Audi Program, so he could work on specialty cars. Once the program was canceled, he remained there and worked as an auto technician at ABC Nissan Phoenix and at Wal-Mart in the auto department. He was planning to return to Sheboygan to live. A fan of the group, Stepwise Band, he also enjoyed going up north to the Lake Gogebic area to fish, ride four wheelers, camping, hike the trails, campfires and spend time with his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Surviving are his parents and a brother, David Kapitz, all of Sheboygan; grandparents, Roger and Rose Miller of Menominee, Mi.; aunts and uncles, Donald and Kim Abrams, Pastor William and Mary Abrams, all of Merriweather, Mi., Richard Abrams of Sheboygan, Judy Foster of Odessa, Tex., Greg Kapitz of Cadillac, Mi., Cathy Topel of Howard, Connie Ihde of Oconto, Pam Peterson and Roger Miller, both of Marinette and Joann Grabowsky of Green Bay; special great-aunt, Renee Kamps of Sheboygan; special friends, Michael Hintz and Amber Hiebing, both of Sheboygan and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carroll and Alberta Abrams; great-grandmothers, Florence Goff and Birdella Chevalier and an uncle, Keith James Kapitz.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave., Sheboygan. Family and Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
