Supreme Court Denies Review Of Oconto Case
The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday, Nov. 13, announced it will not review an Oconto County homicide case. The decision lets stand the conviction of David D. DeBauche, 45, Green Bay, who was found guilty by a jury of first degree homicide in the deaths of his wife and her parents.
DeBauche was found guilty by an Oconto County Circuit Court Jury on July 17, 2006 in the homicide of his wife Amy, 46, and her parents, David, L. Jensen 62, and his wife Jane, 60, all of Green Bay.
The triple homicide occurred on Aug. 7, 2005 when the victims were found inside a camper located on County Trunk W in the Town of Mountain in Oconto County.
DeBauche was sentenced to three life terms to run consecutively without the possibility of release. He then filed an appeal with the 3rd District Court of Appeals which denied his appeal on Feb. 2008. The case was then appealed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court on March 17, 2008 which would not review the case.
As the state’s law developing court a review of a case will only be granted when special and important reasons are presented. The court exercises its discretion to consider for review only those cases that fit certain criteria.
