Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg for Daniel J. Barribeau, 86, of Cedarbug.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman. He died Monday, Nov. 16 at his home.
Born Nov. 3, 1923 in Goodman, he was the son of Daniel and Ella (Smith) Barribeau. He married the former Virginia Kniess in 1952 in Crandon and they started their married lives in Lake Geneva.
The couple moved to Milwaukee in 1954 and later to Cedarburg in 1968. He was a plumber for over 30 years. He was always fixing things and enjoyed woodworking, making birdhouses and bird feeders. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II in England and Paris, France.
His wife of 57 years, Virginia survives, along with three sons, Jeffrey Barribeau of Greendale, Gregory Barribeau of Cedarburg and Daniel (Jennifer) Barribeau of West Bend; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Annette) Becker and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clyde and Leroy and a sister, Geraldine.
