
Jack F. Eckelaert A memorial service was held in Florida for Jack F. Eckelaert, 79, former Niagara resident, currently residing in Sun City Center, Fla. He passed away Friday, Nov. 13 at Brandon Regional Medical Center.
Further services will be held in Iron Mountain, Mi. on Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 221 West B. Street, Iron Mountain, followed by visitation and lunch at Pine Grove Country Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children: Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
Born in Niagara to Olive and Ferdinand Eckelaert on April 6, 1930, he graduated from Niagara High School and the School of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin.
He served in the Army Corps of Engineers, was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge No. 222 and was co-founder of TEC Systems, Inc. in De Pere. He and his family lived in Neenah and De Pere, before retiring to Clearwater, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra and their children, Mrs. Damian (Lori) Turner of Waterville, Vt., Steven (Jennifer) Eckelaert of Appleton and Scott (Madeline) Eckelaert of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Drucilla) Meidl of Fort Myers, Fla. and Dorothy Person of Kingsford, Mi.; a brother-in-law, Lynn (Carol) Larsen of Marshfield and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick and a brother-in-law, William Person.
