Helen Pellegrino, 94, of Goodman died Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Golden Living Center in Florence.
Born on Sept. 11, 1914 in Italy, the daughter of the late George and Vinceann (Scarpelli) Chiapetta came to the United States at age five. She married Charles Pellegrino on Oct. 19, 1930 in Chicago, Ill. and the couple resided there until retirement, then relocated to the Goodman area.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosalie Wesolowski of Elmwood Park, Ill. and Mrs. Jack (Vinnie) Duda of Goodman; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation was on Friday, Nov. 20 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Fr. Paul Koszarek officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goodman. Messar Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
