Ann Louise Luckow, 76, of Iron Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 9 at the Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain. She was born on Dec. 13, 1935 in Stambaugh, MI., daughter of the late Antone and Olga (Todey) Bicigo.
She graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1955 and married Virgil Luckow on Nov. 12, 1955 in Foster City, Mich. She was a Nurse's Aide for the Florence Villa Nursing Home, then became a cleaning attendant at the Svecia Country Club in Spread Eagle. She later was a waitress at Justy's Inn in Florence, and a bartender at the Town Tap and Chatter Box, both in Florence. He also was a housekeeper at the Woodlands Motel in Iron Mountain.
A lifelong resident of the area, she moved to Iron Mountain in 1982. For many years she was an Avon representative. She was a devoted mother and Christian who made it a point to give her girls an understanding of God. Her daughters grew up in the Presbyterian Church in Florence and she was a former member of the Randville Bible Church.
Survivors are daughters, Connie (Wayne) Rouleau of Iron Mountain, Kathy (David) Miller of Crystal Falls, MI; Julie Weiss of Neenah; Sherry (Lee) Waldrep of Mahomet, IL and Sally (Dan) Hallfrisch of Cloquet, MN; eight grandchildren; a brother, Steve Bicigo of Crivitz; sisters, Mary Jane (Ted) Ridolphi of Iron River, MI; and Elsie Schroder of Dearborn Heights, MI.
She was preceded in death by her father, Antone Bicigo; mother, Olga Groop; step father, William Groop; step brothers, William Edward and Michael Edward Groop.
Visitation was on Saturday, July 14 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway followed by the funeral service. Rev. James Danielson officiated.
Tondin-Ross and Freeman Funeral home of Iron Mountain handled arrangements.
