32nd Annual M&M Trout Derby Set For July 21-22
The 32nd annual M&M Great Lakes Sport Fishermens Club Trout Derby will be held on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 on the bay of Green Bay.
The Great Lakes Marina in Menominee will be the official weigh-in center. Fishing begins each day at 4:30am with weigh-ins by 7pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday. Only one fish per species can be weighed in each day.
Cash prizes will be awarded for biggest brown trout, chinook salmon, rainbow trout and walleye.
All participants must have a fishing ticket, which costs $20 and can be purchased at MBK Sports Shop, T&T Fermanich, Walter Brothers, 41 Shell and club members.
Fishing tickets must be purchased in advance. Raffle tickets will be available until 5pm Sunday for $5 each, three for $10 or seven for $20.
Some of the fishing prizes include Lowrance color fish finder, Ugly Stick downrigger rods, Daiwa line counter reels, Shimano 8-foot wire line rod and Okuma convector line counter reel, Wiley-X sport glasses and Husqvarna chainsaw.
The grand prize in the raffle is a 2012 Ranger ATV, second prize Honda portable generator, third Panasonic 42-inch plasma TV, fourth White metal detector, fifth Forschner 8-piece knife set and sixth Cuddeback digital capture camera.
