Pot Luck Sept. 15 for Loomis Days
Loomis Days with a pot luck picnic will be held on Saturday noon, Sept. 15 at the Town of Lake Hall. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service. Beverages will be provided and all past and present residents of the Loomis area are invited to attend. The event will be hosted by the Loomis Historical Society.
Loomis Days was started many years ago by a group of women who thought it would provide a chance to meet and greet old and new friends. Members of the society are encouraged to invite their friends to the event. Pictures and some artifacts will be on display.
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Loomis Historical Society for September is canceled. If there is any business to be discussed, a short meeting will follow the picnic. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. when Bill Jamerson will present a program on the CCC camps. The public is welcome. For information on Loomis Days or the CCC presentation, contact Patricia Kaufman at 715-854-2997.
