Mary Jo Vannieuwenhoven
Mary Jo Jo (Renier) Vannieuwenhoven, 65, of Suamico and White Potato Lake, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 13 at a Green Bay hospital.
Born Dec. 29, 1946 in Green Bay to Arnold and Madeline (Jadin) Renier, she was a 1965 graduate of Green Bay Preble High School.
On Aug. 14, 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Gary Vannieuwenhoven at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She worked as an executive secretary for Schreiber Foods for many years until her retirement in 2002 and as treasurer for the White Potato Lake Sportsmen Club until her death. She especially enjoyed her time spent at the lake with her husband and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Gary; mother, Madeline Renier; a sister, Jeanne Renier; an aunt, Marion Jadin; a brother-in-law, Rick (Chris) Vannieuwenhoven; sisters-in-law, Cherie (Mike) Schneider and Kathy Gerlach and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold (Babe) Renier; in-laws, Leonard (Shorty) and Delores and aunts and uncles.
Per her family wishes there was no visitation or memorial service and cremation took place. Proko-Wall Funeral Home assisted the family.
