Arrest 4 In Peshtigo Drug Investigation Four males were arrested Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the City of Peshtigo as the result of a drug investigation by the Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group. Arrests resulted from execution of a search warrant at the apartment of Gary Lee Rietz, 45, Woodland Manor, 181 Chicago, Court, Peshtigo.
All four appeared Tuesday, Oct. 2, before Marinette County Circuit Court Judge David Miron who their adjourned initial appearance for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, with counsel.
Rietz is charged with possession with intent to deliver between 10 and 50 grams of heroin as party to a crime, second or subsequent offense and maintaining a drug trafficking place, second and subsequent offense. His cash bond was set at $100,000.
Mark Russell Christophersen, 22, 1214 14th Ave., Menominee, Mich. charged with possession with intent to deliver between 10 and 50 grams of heroin as party to a crime, second or subsequent offense. Cash bond was set at $50,000.
Davonte Tyrece Amos, 20, Milwaukee, charged with possession with intent to deliver between 10 and 50 grams of heroin as party to a crime, repeater and second or subsequent offense. Cash bond was set $100,000.
Deron Terrill Crittenden, 23, Milwaukee, charged with possession with intent to deliver between 10 and 50 grams of heroin as party to a crime, repeater and second or subsequent offense. Cash bond was set at $100,000.
All are currently being held in the Marinette County Jail. Assisting in the investigation were police departments from Marinette and Peshtigo and sheriff departments from Marinette and Menominee, Mich.
According to the complaint, at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, Marinette Police received information of two black males from Milwaukee were in the Marinette area with a large amount of heroin they were selling.
Contact was made with Debra G. Techmeier, executive director of Woodland Manor in Peshtigo, for footage of surveillance video cameras at the facilities. The video showed two men being dropped off at the Manor and going to the apartment of Rietz.
A search warrant was then obtained and verified four persons were inside the apartment. Authorities set up security outside and inside the apartment complex. At 4:15 p.m. authorities executed the search warrant and found the four men in the apartment.
The search found $1,927 in currency, heroin, spoons with black marks, needles, drug record book, syringes, baggies and napkins.
