Successful Runs For Peshtigo Cross-Country
The Peshtigo girls and boys cross-country teams enjoyed plenty of success during a pair of cross-country events.
At the Papermaker Invite Saturday, the girls registered a 6th place finish against some state-ranked Division 1 and 2 teams before capturing honors at the 4-team Marion meet Monday.
While the girls found success as a team, Peshtigo junior Aaron Bhatoya notched a 9th place clocking of 17:01 at Kimberly before taking home the gold at Marion Monday with a 17:59 mark.

Going up against a number of Division 1 and 2 teams at the Papermaker Invitational, the Peshtigo girls took home 6th place out of 16 teams.
Green Bay Preble won the meet with 65 points followed by Chilton 123, Kimberly 130, Freedom 130, Clintonville 144, Peshtigo 183, Xavier 186, Little Chute 209, Ashwaubenon 222, Kiel 238, Ripon 260, DePere 271, Oshkosh Lourdes 281, Winneconne 302, Kaukauna 413 and Kettle Moraine Lutheran 487.
Liz Bloy of Freedom had the top time at 15:05 with Kristen Linzmeier of Chilton second at 15:11.
Best of the Bulldog runners were sophomore Anna Madsen 14th 16:10 and freshman Saige Ruleau 18th 16:16.
Other times for Peshtigo included Samantha Rauch 45th 17:15, Ryleigh Klaver 48th 17:23, Carlee Mylener 58th 17:42, Rebekah Sokol 95th 18:33, Samantha Jagielski 121st 21:22 and Claire Stuart 122nd 22:42.
In the boys portion of the meet, the Bulldogs came up with an 11th place team finish at 292.
Top 5 teams were Freedom 44 , Kimberly 98, Preble 99, Little Chute 113 and DePere 172.
Dan LaLuzerne of Preble was the first runner across the finish line at 16:17, Austin Gokey of DePere registered a 16:26 and Garrett Miller of Kettle Moraine 16:32.
Peshtigo was paced by junior Aaron Bhatoya in 9th place at 17:01, Tyler Nault 20th 17:38, Eddie Jornlin 90th 20:00, Brad Neumann 91st 20:07 and Bryce Trimberger 101st 20:43.
Bulldogs Shine At
Earning 5 of the top 10 finishes, Peshtigo had no trouble taking home the team title at Marion with 23 points. Iola-Scandinavia was second at 45, Marion 84 and Manawa 86.
Emily Sether of Iola-Scandinavia was first with a 15:50 time followed by Peshtigo runners...Anna Madsen second at 16:02, Saige Ruleau 3rd 16:08, Samantha Rauch 4th 17:06, Carlee Mylener 6th 17:19, Ryleigh Klaver 8th 17:41, Rebekah Sokol 10th 18:17, Samantha Jagielski 20:23 and Kate Matykowski 27th 25:24.
Peshtigos Bhatoya had the fastest time in the boys portion with a 17:59 effort, Tyler Nault was second at 18:20, Brad Neumann 7th 20:26, Eddie Jornlin 9th 20:41 and Bryce Trimberger 11th 21:27.
Iola-Scandinavia was the top team at 26, Peshtigo totaled 30 and Manawa 75.

Marinette senior Austin Wright posted a time of 16:50 to finish in second place at the Waupaca Invitational Thursday.
Bryan Tomek of Tomahawk was first at 16:33 followed by Wright.
Other times for the Marines were Erik Breuer 23rd 18:51 and Jamie Wendt 66th 23:35.
The Marine girls saw Jayden Schreiner claim 32nd at 18:18, Christina Badalamenti 57th 20:03 and Margaret Michaels 58th 20:05.
