Eunice D. Simon
Eunice D. Simon, 82, of Wallace, Mi. passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Spectrum Health, Butterworth in Grand Rapids, Mi.
The former Eunice Hanson was born on Oct. 5, 1930 in Laney to the late Elmer C. and Cecelia (Melchoir) Hanson. On Sept. 11, 1948 she married Roy Simon at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Wallace and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1982.
She enjoyed working as a school bus driver for 25 years in the Forest Hill Public School District, retiring in 1990. She liked playing cards, sewing, painting yard crafts, having people over and entertaining. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, Terry (Cindy) of Grand Rapids, Mi., Randy (Jen) of Bastrop, Tex. and Gordy (Judy) of Auburn, Ala.; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Hanson of Crivitz and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy; a sister, Ruth Pearson and brothers, Gordon, Wallace, Byron, Curtis, Donald, Norbert and Glenn.
Graveside services will be held in Mellen Township Cemetery Wallace, Mi. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at noon with Pastor Cori Johnson officiating. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
