A memorial family gathering will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4 from noon to 2 p.m. at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel, for Leo E. Brown, 76, of Bonduel. He passed away Friday, Oct. 26 in Green Bay.
Born on Nov. 30, 1935 in Green Bay, he was the son of the late Edwin and Elinora (Reschke) Brown.
On April 7, 1958 he enlisted with the United States Army and served for two years. On May 26, 1973 he married Veronica Barbeau in Green Bay and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2003. He lived most of his life in Green Bay, where he worked at Fort Howard until his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and going to the casino.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn Brown of Black River Falls and Vikki (Jason) Pfeiffer of Crivitz; three sons, Dale Brown and Dean (Christine) Brown, both of Black River Falls and Kevin Brown of Bonduel; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Gail) Brown of Green Bay and Harvey (Loretta) Brown of De Pere and two sisters, Nancy Verheyen and Leona (Alvin) Vandenberg, both of Green Bay.
