Lyle A. Butterfield
Lyle A. Butterfield, age 86, of Wild Rose, formerly Beecher, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Beecher on October 1, 1926, son of the late John and Anna (Francis) Butterfield. Lyle attended the Cole School.
He worked at the family farm and at the families sawmill before moving to Sheboygan and worked for Kohler. During the Kohler strike, Lyle moved back to Beecher and farmed the families homestead. After the strike ended, he moved back and continued working at Kohler until retirement. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. He also loved to play cards, especially poker, sheepshead and cribbage, with his family and friends.
Lyle is survived by his three children, Lois (Jim) Piper of Wild Rose, Gene (Diane) Butterfield of Kingsford and Judy Graves of Kingsford; ten grandchildren, Miriam, Angela, Heather, Jennifer, Christopher, Cassandra, Jessica, Hannah and Zachariah; three great-grandchildren, Jane, Kimberly, and Michelle and a brother, John (Elaine) Butterfield of Wausaukee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; a grandchild, Daniel; a great grandchild, Jareth; brothers and sisters, Harold, Mae, Arlene, Alice and Harvey and a son-in-law, David.
Funeral Service will be 12 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Messar-Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee with Pastor Don Landwehr officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in the Pembine Cemetery.
