A small social provided by the food classes of Mrs. Laurie Jensen will follow the program. All veterans and their guests are invited to attend.
The theme of this year's ceremony will be "Bugles in the Military", a history of taps.
Veterans Day holiday honors all those, living and dead, who served in the U.S. armed forces in times of peace as well as in war. The holiday was originally called Armistice Day, and it commemorated the armistice signed to end World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918. This year Veteran's Day falls on Sunday, therefore, the program will be held on Friday, Nov. 9.
