Leland F. Van De Walle
Leland F. (Doc) Van De Walle, age 57, Crivitz resident passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Bellin Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born April 5th, 1955 in Green Bay to Jerome and Ileen Van De Walle. He graduated from East De Pere High School in 1973.
Immediately following graduation Doc moved to Crivitz where he pursued his love of farming. In 1975 he married Ann M. Fendryk at St. Leos Church in Pound. Married 37 years, together they farmed and raised their four sons. Doc was a proud farmer and took great pride in what he loved to do. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Ann; sons, David, Brian (Sarah), Paul (Cari) and Scott (Ashley); grandchildren, Austin, Mitchell, Alex, Peyton and Drea and his Mother, Ileen. He is further survived by his siblings, Merlin (Chris), Gertie Haese, Mary (Tom) Steppert, Dan (Sue) and Jennie (Kevin) Pillath and nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Jerome; a brother-in-law, Gregory Haese; his mother-in-law and father in law, Mary and Roman Fendryk and one nephew, Roman Fendryk.
Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Tuesday, November 13, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A second visitation was on Wednesday, November 14 from 9 a.m. until going to St. Mary Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Walter Stumpf officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
