Robert Jose, Sr. Robert “Buster” Jose Sr., age 60, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, December 1, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born to the late Robert W. and June Jose (Godin) May 2, 1952 in Racine, WI. Robert joined the Army in 1971 serving 21 years before retiring. He married Monica McGavock on April 26, 1975 in Marinette, WI.
In the early years of their marriage they traveled frequently throughout the U.S. and overseas, eventually settling in Crivitz, WI, where they resided for the past 28 years, where he was employed by Saputo Cheese for 27 years and the Village of Crivitz Animal Control for 11 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Buster enjoyed hunting, fishing, Packer Games and was an avid Nascar fan.
Loving Husband of Monica. Father of Robert (Lisa) Jose of Australia, Rebecca (Mark) Walsh of Janesville WI, Ryan (Rob) Bemis of Crivitz and Cindy (Brandon) Kolbe of Appleton. Grandfather of Kyle, Carson, Bailey, Wyatt, Hailey, Taylor, Riley, Maddie, Alicia, Brianna and Breccan. Brother of Donna Olson of Middle Inlet, Brother-in-law to Sharlene (Vernon) Nelezen, Connie (George) Medley, Patty (Brad) LaFave, Tim (Judy) McGavock and Kathy (John) Zimmer. Nephew to Donna (Ted) Ruleford, Pat (Bill) Jose, Butch (Jane) Godin. Uncle to Jim (Kathy) Olson, Dan (Stacey) Olson, Bill (Jenny) McGavock, Jesse Zimmer, Loren (Misty) Christenson, Chris (Chad) LaFave, Scott (Tina) Nelezen, Kurt Nelezen, Kevin (Dawn) Nelezen, Billy McGavock, Stacey (Hector) Serrano, Lisa (Scott) Reese, Tami (Steve) Hilgenburg and Crystal (Scott) Johnson.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by infant brother, Edward, Grandson, Sean Robert, Nephew, Jason Zimmer, Brothers-In-Law, Gerald Olson and William McGavock, parents-in-laws William and Anita McGavock.
