Donald G. Don Christopherson, 66, of Green Bay died peacefully at a Green Bay hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 15 with family by his side.
Born on March 4, 1946 in Laona, he is the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Fredrickson) Christopherson. He grew up farming and graduated from Lena High School in 1964.
On Jan. 21, 1966 he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Judith Judy Brault. The couple settled in Green Bay where he found work as a mechanic at Fort Howard Paper Company, now called Georgia Pacific. He worked there for 37 years, retiring in 2005 holding the position of Maintenance Program Planner. In retirement he committed his free time to his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycle trips to the casino.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy; a daughter, Lori Hunte of Green Bay; a son, Todd (Kelly) Christopherson of Oshkosh; a brother, Robert (Susie) Christopherson of Oxford; five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Private family funeral services were held at Malcore-West Funeral Home, Green Bay. Entombment took place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
