Unit 66 Offers $500 Scholarship
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 66 of Athelstane/Silver Cliff will offer a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior, students home school included, who is a resident of the Town of Athelstane or Silver Cliff. Non-resident junior members of Unit 66 are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Interested students should contact their school advisors for an application. Unit 66 Vice President Ann Wender, Treasurer Priscilla Maeder, or Scholarship Chair Dee Farley also have copies of the application for those unable to get one through the school.
The application deadline is April 15th and completed forms should be sent to Scholarship c/o Dee Farley, W14870 Kimball Lane, Silver Cliff, WI 54104.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of Athelstane/Silver Cliff Unit 66 of the American Legion Auxiliary can contact membership chair Lois Haas or any member for information on eligibility requirements. The Legion Auxiliary, the largest women's organization in the United States, support many veterans programs and community projects in addition to the scholarship program.
