Suring Bowler Rolls 858 Series In Green Bay
Bryan Thyes, owner of the Suring Lanes, rolled an impressive 858 series in the Green Bay Major League in early January.
One of the elite keglers in the area, the 50-year old Thyes has the lone 800 series in the league this season, sports a 221 average and has made his mark on the Green Bay bowling scene over the years. In the late 1980s and early 90s, Thyes was on the championship team and later owned the average title. He rolled 15 perfect games during that time in the Green Bay league and eight 800 series.
Thyes took over the Suring Lanes in 1998 and was elected to the GBBA Hall of Fame in 2007. Over the years Thyes has rolled about 75-300s, 40-800s and spent 3 years on the Professional Bowlers Association Tour.
