Dorothy J. Bacon, age 83, Crivitz resident died Thursday, Feb. 7 at home.
Dorothy was born to the late Emil and Freida Rohde on July 1, 1929 in the Town of Grover. She married Melvin Bacon January 31, 1951. The couple resided in Peshtigo and spent summers in Crivitz and retired there.
Melvin preceded her in death in 1993. Dorothy enjoyed her family, watching birds outside her window, going to the casino, stopping at garage sales and playing scrabble. She looked forward to weekly visits with her friends through seniors and meal site in Crivitz and to her weekly hair appointments with the girls.
Loving mother of Cindy (Tim) Fischer of Antigo, Jean (Paul) Siebers of Green Bay, Dale (Peggy) Bacon of Pound, Mary Ann (Nathan) Zirngible of Antigo and stepson, Doug (Mary Lou) Hudon of Sturgeon Bay. Loving grandmother of Valerie, Jennifer, Andrew, Ross, Stephanie, Danielle, Kailee and Erin. Three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Payton and Kayden. Sister of Eleanor (Bernard) Lepinski of Coleman and Norman (Linda) Rohde of Marinette.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lenny.
Friends called at the Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz on Monday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m. until time of the funeral at 2 p.m. Rev. Mark Hannemann officiated and burial was in Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz. Family would like to thank Bonnie for the care and friendship she gave our mother.
