Roger J. Hanson
Roger J. Hanson, 64, of Germantown, formerly of Coleman, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, following a longtime illness of multiple strokes and lung cancer at Cedar Springs Health and Rehab in Cedarburg.
A United States Army veteran, he served from 1965 to 1970. After service he worked his whole life in the transportation industry.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, the former Gail Graczyk; siblings, Joanne (Patrick) Shallow, Mike, Ron and Patricia Hanson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Matthew and Jenny Graczyk; brothers-in-law, Stan and Tony (Connie) Graczyk and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Bette (Hawkey) Hanson; a brother, Jimmy; a nephew, Michael Shallow and a niece, Michelle Shallow Boyd.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services, Menomonee Falls from 11 a.m. until the time of celebration at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are greatly appreciated to Second Hand Purrs Cat Shelter, (414) 727-7877, http://secondhandpurrs.org/.
