Donald G. Wiltzius
Donald G. Wiltzius, 84, of Marinette passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Rennes Health Care Center-West, Peshtigo.
Born on June 15, 1928 to the late Charles P. and Beatrice (Picard) Wiltzius in Marinette, as a young child he moved to Sheboygan and was a 1948 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School.
He went on to serve in the National Guard for 14 years, leaving as captain when moving to Marinette in 1965. On Nov. 20, 1952 he married Dolores Wolfert at Holy Name Church in Sheboygan. He worked at Marinette Marine for 24 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, visits to the casino, wood working, traveling and was an avid reader.
His wife of 60 years, Dolores survives, along with four sons, Rick (Tammy) of Wausau, Scott (Karen) of Stevens Point, Brian (Jamie) of Marinette and Mark of Ninilchik, AK; a daughter, Roxanne (Gary) Baumgarten of Marinette; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Kenneth.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. with Jane Madsen officiating.
