Marilyn E. Seis
Marilyn Estelle Seis, 77, of Antigo, died Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
Born on March 21, 1935 in Lena, the daughter of the late Herman and Alice (Hansen) Brye, she married William Seis on June 4, 1960 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Klondike.
She was a 1953 graduate of Lena High School, attended Marinette Teachers College for two years and earned a bachelors degree in 1962 from UW-Oshkosh. For over 40 years she served as both a grade school teacher and principal at Mountain Grade School. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo and the local retired teachers association. She enjoyed volunteering at church, sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Her husband, William survives, along with two sons, Daniel (Mary) Seis of Suamico and David Seis of Chetek; a brother, James (Darlene) Brye of Coleman and two step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at the Bradley Funeral Home, 1550 Neva Rd., Hwy. 45, Antigo and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
