Anna M. Witt, 89, Crivitz resident, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, surrounded by her immediate family.
Born to the late Frank and Theresa Hergan on July 23, 1923 in Crivitz, she married Donald A. Witt on Oct. 7, 1944 at St. Marys Church.
The couple resided in the Crivitz area and she was employed by the public school system for 25 years, enriching many lives as a cafeteria cook. She enjoyed card parties and was an avid golfer. A member of St. Marys Church, she was active in the Christian Ladies Society. Her essence was her love and zest for her family and her legacy will not be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; three children, Donelle (Dan) Bugarsky of Hurley, Peter (Donna) Witt of Brule and Sally (Steve) Sadowsky of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Stella Downs of Crivitz and Pauline Duquaine of Anderson, Ind.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a daughter, Mary.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4 p.m. until time of the prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, March 1 at 9 a.m. until leaving for St. Marys Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at the church at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Walter Stumpf and Rev. William Stengel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
