St. Patrick's Shoots At Area Clubs

The Peshtigo Gun Club will be hosting a St. Patricks Day shoot on Sunday, March 17 from 10am till 2pm with the last squad out by 1:30pm. The event will feature a $10 Lewis shoot with a 3 class 60/40 payout, fun shoots for merchandise and a whole of fun. Club members and the public are welcome to participate.
Top shooters for the week were Darin Williams 24-24, Dave Wittkopf and Jim Jandt 24s.
In the Wobbles League, Jon Nelson connected on a 25 and Dave Wittkopf 24.
Nelson Freight III was the winner of the first half of the winter league with a record of 5-2-1.
Top averages for the league are Rand Lange 22.78, Jim Jandt 22.58, Eric VanHulle 22.38, Dave Seymour 22.36 and Darin Williams 22.31.
The club is open to public and members every Wednesday evening from 5pm to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 2pm. The gun club is located on Pheasant Farm Road just off County RW. Anyone interested in shooting some trap targets are encouraged to stop by.
Lake Noquebay Results
The 8th week of shooting at the Lake Noquebay Sportsmans Club saw Darryl Zernia connect on a perfect round of 25 while Buck Gehm added a 24 to make his average 23.08 for the high gun.
A total score of 107 was shared by Inlet Electric and Middle Inlet Wood Products.
Menominee Trap Club
Shooting results from the Menominee Woods and Stream Sportsmans Club on March 1 saw high individual scores for the ninth week posted by Paul Korn and Scott Barnes (24); Ron Nolde (23, 23); Wayne Grinsteiner and Steve Schabo (23).
Korn and Dave Seymour are now tied for Mens High Gun (213 totals, 23.67 averages) followed by Loren Rose (207, 23.00), Ron Nolde (205, 22.78) and Scott Barnes (201, 22.33).
Kelly Johnsen remains Ladies High Gun (162 total, 18.00 average) with Sandy Waugus second (115, 14.38).
High squad for the week was by Frank Kordish (20), Scott Barnes (24), Ron Nolde (23), Paul Korn (21) and Steve Schabo (23) for a total of 111.
Results in week #5 Korns Kobs edged Cookie Crushers 120-119, Discus Disaster whacked Whack-Em-All 117-114, and Franks Furters lost to the bye score 117-112.
Week #6 saw Whack-Em-All slide past Korns Kobs 120-119, Cookie Crushers outshot Franks Furters 115-110, and Discus Disaster lost to the bye score 115-112.
In Week #7 Korns Kobs defeated Discus Disaster 119-110, Franks Furters edged Whack-Em-All 116-114, and Cookie Crushers beat the bye score 115-114.
League standings are Cookie Crushers 5-2, Korns Kobs 4-3, Discus Disaster 3-4, Franks Furters 3-4 and Whack-Em-All 2-5.
The Menominee Woods and Stream Sportsmans Club will hold its annual St. Patricks Day Trap Shoot on Saturday, March 16 from 11am to 5pm.
There will be multiple 5-Bird Meat Shoots for steak, chickens, bacon and baby-back ribs, and a 50-Bird Lewis Shoot for cash prizes. Lewis registration will close at 4pm with lunch and refreshments available.
All area trap shooters and the general public are welcome to attend and participate. The club is located about 10 miles north of Menominee at N3675 County Road 577.
