Mary Jane Eckes
Mary Jane Eckes, 75, of Pound, passed away Saturday, March 9 with family by her side. She was born to the late George and Guilus (Surpise) Parker June 30, 1937 in Oconto, and married Jerome Eckes Sept. 10, 1960 at St. Joseph's Church in Oconto. The couple resided the last 19 years at White Potato Lake in the Town of Pound.
She was a Registered Nurse for 30 years and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards.
Surviving are her husband, Jerome; two daughters, Polly Romenesko of Kaukauna, and Patti Calabrese of Red Bank, NJ; and two sons, Paul (Joan) Eckes of Combined Locks and Pete (Kim) Eckes of Rogers, AR; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at St. Mary Church in Crivitz Friday, March 15, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Walter Stumpf officiating. Burial will be at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
