THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Riders ATV Club to Host Course Apr. 20, 21
Coleman--The North East Wisconsin Riders ATV Club will host a spring all-terrain vehicle education course at the Coleman Area Rescue Squad Building Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21 from 9 am to noon. Both class days are required to complete the course.
Students will learn safe ATV operating practices designed to help young riders just starting out on the Wisconsin trails. This is a Wisconsin DNR certified course and students passing the exam on Sunday will receive temporary certificates for the upcoming ATV season. Permanent cards will arrive in 4-6 weeks by mail. This year the club will be including additional instruction on UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicles) or side-by-side recreation vehicle safety and trail rules.
The course fee is $10 which must be paid upon registration or in advance to reserve a students seat. Doors will open at 8 am for walk-in registration. Students 17 and younger will need to be accompanied by a legal guardian in order to register for the class. Parents are welcome to join in with the students during the class. If you have your DNR customer number, please bring it with you. If not, the club will provide instruction on how to obtain this number prior to taking the exam.
The club hosts the ATV education course at least once a year. All instructors are volunteers donating time to help young riders. Contact the North East Wisconsin Riders ATV club instructor John Krause at (920) 392-4683 for more information.
