Award Times Trophy To Marshall Peterson
Marshall Pete Peterson was voted the most valuable Bulldog player by his teammates and the Times sport staff. He is shown shooting a long shot on the right.
Peterson, the fastest player on the Bulldog team, was an exceptionally hard man to guard because of his fine ball handling coolness, accurate shooting and ability of setting up the right play at the right time. Peterson is credited for 200 points for the 1946-47 basketball season. From the free throw line he is hard to equal.
The Times sport staff extend hearty congratulations to the likable athlete for his fine lay during the season and for winning the Times Trophy.
Jim Behnke, left, number 34, another outstanding Bulldog basketball player, was voted honorary captain by his teammates. Bo Story is in the back right, #37.
