Daniel L. Saunier, Sr.
Daniel L. Saunier, sr., 67, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, March 21 at home.
Born on Dec. 15, 1945 to the late Ferdinel W. and Queenetta (LeSage) Saunier in Marinette, he attended Catholic Central High School and went on to work at Lloyd Manufacturing for many years, then at Richardson Mill Works for several years.
On Feb. 6, 1965 he married Rose Schmidt at St. Joseph Church in Marinette and was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed camping, dart ball, hunting, fishing, sports and was an avid Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; three sons, Joseph of Menominee, Timothy of Manitowoc and Daniel, jr. of Marinette; a brother, Ken (Suellen) of Porterfield; a sister, Donna (James) Shampo of Marinette; a brother-in-law, Dave Kintgen of Carbondale; two sisters-in-law, Cora Erickson of Menominee and Sandy Saunier of Marinette; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Robert.
Friends may call on Monday, March 25 at Thielen Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
