DNR To Issue
Pembine--The DNR reported it has made a final determination to reissue a pollutant discharge elimination system permit for Specialty Granules Inc., Kremlin Road, Pembine effective Monday, Apr. 1 and to expire Mar. 31, 2018.
The facility was previously known as ISP Minerals Inc. and is a quarrying operation where andesite rock (greenstone) is mined, crushed and colored to produce granules for asphalt roofing shingles.
The receiving water is the groundwater of the Pemebonwon and Middle Menominee Rivers Watershed and the Upper Green Bay Basin via absorption in Marinette County.
No comments were received on the application from individuals or groups and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Persons desiring further adjudicative review of the final DNR determination can make a request to the secretary of the DNR within 60 days at the DNR office in Green Bay.

Tall Oaks Store
Crivitz--The DNR reported it has made a final determination to reissue a pollutant discharge elimination system permit for the Tall Oaks General Store, N10008 Parkway Road, Town of Stephenson. The permit was issued Mar. 20 and will expired Mar. 31, 2018.
The facility is a small self-service laundromat located adjacent to the store which are owned by two individuals operating as JAR Enter LLC.
Receiving water is the groundwater of the Middle Peshtigo and Thunder Rivers Watershed, Upper Green Bay Basins via a ridge and furrow and a subsurface absorption system.
There were no comments on the application from individuals or group and the Environmental Protection Agency. Persons desiring a further review of the final determination can contact the secretary of the DNR at the DNR Green Bay office.
