Former Wausaukee resident, Rita Marie (Pejsa) Christ, 85, passed away on Monday, March 25.
She was a high school and college home economics and sewing teacher for over 40 years in Wausaukee, Lena and Milwaukee, finishing her career as an administrator at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She grew up in Custer and was a 1948 graduate of UW-Stevens Point. A member of Christ King Parish, Milwaukee for over 50 years, she loved cooking, sewing and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Thomas P. (Sally Duke); two grandchildren; a brother, Arthur (Jane) Pejsa and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas J. Christ and a sister, Adeline Brunner.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 1 at Christ King Church, Milwaukee from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at noon. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Wausaukee. Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services of Wauwatosa assisted the family.
