Coleman Band Students Advance to State Level

Coleman High School and Middle School music students performed at the annual M&O Conference Solo/Ensemble Music Festival at Suring High School on Saturday, April 6th. Students from grade 6 through 12 performed for a critique or graded rating before state-sanctioned judges in both vocal and instrumental events. Coleman students competed along with many musicians from other M&O Conference schools.

Coleman band students receiving a starred-first rating in Class A and eligible to advance to the State level are: Jacob Woulf/piano solo; McKenzie Meyer, Jessica Kust/clarinet duet; Mollie Graetz, McKenzie Meyer, Kymberly Bergevain, Jonathon Salewski, Katie Krueger, Jennifer Bucksa, Jessica Kust, Ashly Rymer/ Mixed Instrumental Octet; Jessica Kust/trumpet solo; Mackenzie Meyer, McKenzie Meyer/flute-clarinet duet; Jessica Kust/clarinet solo; Kymberly Bergevaine, McKenzie Meyer/saxophone-flute duet; Jessica Kust/piano solo; Jessica Kust/vocal solo.

Additional Coleman students receiving a first place rating in Class A were: Mitchell Woulf, Jacob Woulf/piano duet; Mackenzie Meyer/flute solo; Mitchell Woulf/piano solo; Kim Boyer, Jonathon Salewski/vocal solos.

Students earning a second in Class A included Lundy Basinski, Bill Kempka, Andrew Foley, Michael Rowell/vocal entries.

First place rating in Class B went to Kelsey Payne/flute solo; Hanna Gilbertson, Kelsey Payne/clarinet-flute duet; Matthew Kostreva/piano solo; Kendra Rosenthal, Ashlee Mayer, Miranda Rost, Cassandra Vasquez, Jessica Kust/vocal entries.

Students receiving a second place rating in Class B were: Sara Kust, Sarah Courchain, Kasha Franzen,Dezeraie McMullen, McKaela Risner, Miranda Rost, Jenna Steeno, Kelsey Payne/vocal entries, and a third place rating in Class B went to Nicole Van Hoff/ vocal solo.

Coleman students with a first place rating in Class C were: Gunnar Patz/saxophone solo; Kelsi Olinger/flute solo; Mariana Meissner/bass clarinet solo; Tessa Torreano/bass clarinet solo; Kasen Sadowski, Blake Nosgovitz, Ashlee Mayer, Marissa Zietler, Roberta Payette, Amy Naegeli/vocal entries.

Additional students receiving a first place rating in Class C were the Coleman Middle School Flute Ensemble of Alexis Marquardt, Kinlee Prestine, Madisyn Harley, Abigail Marquardt, Kelsi Olinger, Jennifer Styczynski, Allyson Crandall, Emily Cudnohoski, Rebecca Florencio, Chloe Mongin, Brooklyn Seals; the Coleman Middle School Clarinet Ensemble of Amanda Champagne, Samantha Giese, Matthew Kostreva, Mariana Meissner, Tessa Toreanno, Kersten Gibson, Sarah Seefeldt, Autumn Washuleski, Meghan Fraser, Rebekah Lansin, Maria Nowak, Mallari Rymer, Alivia Schulte, Emily Dufeck. Also the Coleman Middle School Brass Ensemble of Jackson Crandall, Colton Houska, Tyler Salesky, Donovan Salewski, Austin Tachick, Anna Dohl, Alexa Gruber, Tiffanie Ermis, Taylor Payette, Morgan Rymer, Lauren Wittock, Joshua Pillath, Cole Woulf, Allison Brazeau, Kelly Polomis, Cade Klimek; the Coleman Middle School Saxophone Ensemble of Jordan Blanchard, Arianna Gross, Mallory Olcott, Mariah Seefeldt, Annabelle Kotecki, Clara Yoap, Caleb Gross, Koltin Grzybowski, Kailey Klimek, Brandon Patz, Gunnar Patz, Tyler Patz, Beth Gannigan, Tristen Hawkins, Sergio Nava-Spencer. In the Coleman Middle School Percussion Ensemble were Lonnie Basinski, Conner Kasal, Matthew Kostreva, Devin Schulte, Jessica Swenty, Nathan Woulf, Miles Kremsreiter, Austin Marquardt, Ryan Terp, Kasey Casper, Robert Duckert, Jacob Hoffman, Gracie Nasgovitz, and Cody Vandenack.

Second place in Class C went to Torry Deastell, Beau Pasek, David Maxey, Allen Sokol, Matt Osterberg, Taylor Kansier, Logan Giese, Austin Hansen, Jacob Steeno, Aaron Fraser, Jake Baldwin, Cody VanHoff, Bryce Karban, Dakota Kasal, Blake Forner, Mason Risner, Brittany Rogge, Cheyenne Le Boef, Nikita Barbeau, McKenna kreischer, Brianna White, Alicia Vasquez, Alyssa Steeno, Brock Martinson, Logan Graetz, Wyatt Kempka/vocal entries.

Students receiving a third place in Class C were: Austin Seefeldt, Mitchell Bushmaker, Cody James, Daniel Rogge, Bristol Hitsman, BreAnna Shehow, Leo Martinez, Zack Manning/vocal entries.

The Coleman band instructor is Jim Heyroth and vocal students are instructed by Kathy Bader.
