Lois E. Linsmeier
Lois Esther Linsmeier, 89, of Birch Creek passed away on Wednesday, April 3 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette.
Born on Nov. 4, 1923 in Menominee to the late Walter and Mabel (Gilbert) Everson, she graduated from Menominee High School, Class of 1941. She married Elmer Linsmeier on Feb. 10, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2008.
An active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, she was a strong woman of great faith and a true inspiration to her family. She had a great sense of humor, liked playing cards and enjoyed telling stories. She was an excellent cook and also liked to bake.
Survivors include six children, four daughters, Barbara White of Green Bay, Patricia Sebero of Porterfield and Linda (John) Jacques and Marie (James) Dellisse, both of Menominee; two sons, Elmer (Susan) Linsmeier of Menominee and Joseph (Laurie) Linsmeier of Wallace, Mi.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles (Joyce) Everson of Hershey, Pa., Henry (Dolly) Everson of Escanaba, Mi., Douglas (Jan) Everson of Marinette and Eugene Everson of Reading, Pa. and many other family and friends, including everyone at New Hope Heights.
Along with her parents and her husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by a son, David; a great-granddaughter, Rhiley; two sisters, Myrtle Barcewski and Pamela Everson and a son-in-law, Emil White.
Visitation was held at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A vigil prayer service followed at 4 p.m. with Deacon Vincent Beckley presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for the repose of the soul on Monday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Guoin presiding. Additional visitation was at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial was in the Birch Creek Cemetery in Birch Creek, Mi.
