Jean A. Beyer, 88, of Kingsford, Mi. passed away on Tuesday, April 9 at ManorCare Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsford.
Born Aug. 24, 1924 in Iron Mountain, Mi., she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Lundgren) Wedin. A resident of the area her entire life, she attended Iron Mountain Schools.
She married James Beyer on June 7, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1997. She worked for Twin City Cleaners for 25 years and was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, Martha's Circle, Lutheran Christian Women and the OWLs Club (Older, Wiser, Lutherans). She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Carol) Beyer of Beecher and Donald Beyer of Milwaukee; a sister, Alice Michela of Silver Springs, Md.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, Mi. until time of the funeral services at noon. Rev. Lee Liverance officiated and burial was in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. The family entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
