James W. Lord
James William Lord, 54, of Menominee, Mich. passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 10.
Born Dec. 3, 1958 in Menominee to Robert and Nancy (Lang) Lord, he graduated from Menominee High School, Class of 1977.
While he was growing up he enjoyed playing baseball, working at Bernie Langs shop, Jacks IGA and finally at Menominee Paper for over 30 years. His hobbies included working on cars, collecting various things from cars to coins and gardening. He also was an outdoors person who loved golfing at North Shore, feeding deer and other wildlife and simply enjoying what nature gave him.
Surviving are his mother, Nancy Lord of Menominee; a son, Andy Lord of Oshkosh; a brother, Robert Lord of Green Bay; three sisters, Vicki Overby of Menominee and Judy (Rob) Rodesch, both of Menominee and Sue (Steve) Marcoe of Forney, Tex. He is further survived by a niece; four nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins and good friends, Mike Nowack and the VanEyck Family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lord.
Visitation was held at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, April 13 from 1 p.m. until time of prayer service at 4 p.m. with Deacon Vincent Beckley presiding. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery Menominee.
