Vernon H. Nelezen
Vernon H. Pruney Nelezen, age 68, lifelong Crivitz resident passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born to the late Robert and Grace (Grant) Nelezen on October 11, 1944 in Crivitz. Vernon graduated from Crivitz High School. He married the former Sharlene McGavock April 28, 1968 in Menominee, Michigan.
He was a former Board Member for the Town of Stephenson and a Crivitz Constable. Vernon was a longtime Marinette County Highway Department worker. He was an avid deer-hunter and fisherman. Pruney was one of the original Ski-Cats.
Pruney will be missed by his wife, Sharlene and their children, Kurt Nelezen of Green Bay, Kevin (Dawn) Nelezen and Scott (Tina) Nelezen, both of Crivitz and Juli Palcic of Chandler, AZ. His grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Neil, Ethan, Summer, Raine and Autumn. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert (Annie) Nelezen of Abrams and Mark (Monica) Nelezen of Crivitz and numerous nieces, nephews and foster children.
Pruney will be greeted in heaven by a brother, Tom Nelezen, a sister, Sandra Streck and two beloved grandchildren, Cameron and Taylor Nelezen.
