Betty L. Neumann, age 89, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at The Renaissance in Marinette.
Born on April 18, 1923, daughter of the late Robert and Lucille (Peck) Scott, she married Richard Neumann on September 21, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo.
Betty had worked as a secretary for many years at Badger Paper Mill and Eklund Insurance. For the past 30 years she enjoyed traveling and spending the winters with her husband in the Fort Meyers, Fla. area.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; a son, Rick (Terri) Neumann of Peshtigo; a daughter, Chris (Glenn) Dumke of Marinette; seven grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Lindsay Dumke, Lesley (Brian) Miranda, Kristofor Dumke, Natalie Burtts and Zachary and Max Neumann. Also survived by two great-grandchildren, Braedhan Madden and Evan Smith.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Smith; two brothers, Frank Ellison and Bill Ellison, jr. and her stepfather, George W. Ellison.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from 3 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Burial will be in Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home, Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
