LaVerne Veronica Petitjean, 84, of Wimberley, Tex. died peacefully at her home on Monday, April 15.
The daughter of Earl and Julia (Venne) Swette was born in Marinette on Aug. 3, 1928. She met the love of her life, Donald L. Petitjean and the couple were married on Sept. 3, 1949 in Green Bay.
She is survived by her husband, Don; four daughters, Dawn (Vince) Serritella of St. Charles, Ill., Janice Petitjean of Exeter, England, Sharon Petitjean of Austin, Tex. and Nancy (Bert) Alleman of Canyon Lake, Tex.; a son, Gary Petitjean of Florida; two sisters, Joan Patz of Mountain Home, Ark. and Lynn Swette of Brookfield; three brothers, Earl (Delores) Swette of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Larry (Meg) Swette of Henderson, Nev. and Milton (Lynn) Swette of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman from 1 p.m. on Monday, April 22 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Fr. Celestine Byekwaso will officiate and interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman is assisting the family with local arrangements.
