The Wausaukee Travel Club plan a Grand Germany Tour featuring the Bavarian Alps, a 4-night Rhine River Cruise, the Black Forest, and Munich's Oktoberfest Sept. 15-24. Flying from Milwaukee the cost is $3,195 per person, double occupancy.
Featured is a stay at the resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the base of the mighty Zugspitze, Bavarian Alps, with visit to Garmisch, Fairytale Bavaria, including Linderhof Palace, Oberammergau Passion Play village, Wieskirche church in the meadow, and the Benedictine Monastery of Ettal. After scenic days travel through the Alps, the southern Black Forest, and along the shores of the Bodensee, travelers will arrive in Strasbourg, take an evening river boat tour of the town, and then board the MS Leonardo de Vinci for a 4-night cruise down the Rhine. Ports of call include Koblenz, Rudesheim, and Heidelberg. The tour ends in Augsburg, with a visit to Munich, capital city of Bavaria, and the festivities of Oktoberfest.
