James R. Schaut
James R. Schaut, 76, of Pembine, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12 at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
Born June 25, 1936 in La Branche, Mich., the son of Clifford and Louise (Gunville) Schaut, he was a veteran and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed for many years at Grede Foun
dry and was a lifelong over the road truck driver. He enjoyed hunting with the boys at camp and also spent many summers camping.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sharon; six children: Jaime, Janae, Melody, James, Clifford, and Joella; two step-children: Lori and Craig; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Paquin and Sharon Felice; and a step-mother, Sybil Schaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
A Private Family service will be held with Messar-Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee assisting with arrangements.
