Robert W. Gaulke
Robert Walter Gaulke, 82, of Gillett, passed away Wednesday, May 15 in Shawano. Born on Sept. 28, 1930 in Milwaukee, he was the son of the late Ervin H. and Mildred (Lemke) Gaulke. In 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces and served for two years during the Korean War. On Oct. 1, 1960 he was united in marriage to Flora E. Stewart in Santa Cruz, CA. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2006. He worked as a truck driver for the Indian Head Truck Line. When not at work he loved spending time with his family as well as hunting.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda L. Larkin and a son, Robert A. (Lori) Gaulke of Gillett; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora; his parents; and 3 sisters including 1 in infancy.
A memorial service was held at 11 am on Saturday, May 18 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service. Inurnment was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery in Milwaukee.
