Harold J. Willette, Sr.
Harold J. Moose Willette, sr., 83, of Suamico passed away with his family by his side, after a brave battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 15.
Born in Escanaba, Mi. on Aug. 21, 1929 to the late Claude and Alice (LaBombard) Willette, he married Lois Jean Leach in 1950 at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
A Suamico resident, he was involved in the community and was employed as a Class A Millwright at Green Bay Packaging for over 40 years. He loved bowling, baseball, deer hunting, archery, fishing, traveling, storytelling and a good joke. He was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Suamico Knights of Columbus Council, Brown County Sportmens Club and Unity of Friends. He was a dedicated father and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Jean; children, Harry (Shirley) Willette of Oneida, Fran (Jan) Willette of Franklin, Diana (Erv) Piontek, Cindy (DD) Leurquin and Carolyn (Scott) Bartoletti, all of Suamico, Roger (Cindy) Willette of Howard and Donna (Jim) Boucher of Oconto; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Barish and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy and one brother and six sisters.
Family and friends called at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Suamico on Monday, May 20 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Everard Scesney officiating. Pfotenhauer Funeral Homes & Cremation Service served the family.
