THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Thomas R. Webster
Thomas Robert Webster, long time resident of Wausaukee and more recently of Crivitz, died peacefully on Saturday, May 25.
Born in Milwaukee on Jan. 8, 1949 to Robert and Ann (Denton) Webster, he attended school there and participated in programs offered by Milwaukee County.
On the death of his parents he moved to Wausaukee in 1980 to live with his sister, Ruth (Paul) Schroeder and her family. He was hired at Wausaukee Enterprises where he worked happily with its dedicated staff and employees until last year. He was a person of routine, the most important one was having a beer and pretzels at precisely 5 p.m. every evening. He participated in many Knights of Columbus sponsored Olympic events, treasuring his medals and loved the chance to fish at Camp Daniel and Kelly Lake.
He moved into the first Rost-Huebner House in Crivitz in December of 2006, where again he was blessed with a caring staff as was true at Bay Area Medical Center and NEWCare Convalescent Center. He was fortunate to have had many friends. His sisters, Jean (James) Wilson, Winnetka, IL, and Ruth are grateful to all of the kind people in his life. Special thanks to Chris Proctor and Dr. Yasser Salem.
He is survived by his sisters, their spouses, their children, grandchildren and cousins.
An Afternoon to Remember Tom is planned for Sunday, June 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Wausaukee Enterprises, 836 Cedar St., Wausaukee, where memorials may also be made.
